Four Lakes Task Force

Since 2019, Four Lakes Task Force has been on a mission to repair four dams in Gladwin and Midland counties. The nonprofit brought us along from its inception to act as an extension of its team, providing strategic counsel and communications work to communicate with property owners, elected officials and interested parties.

Media Relations
In May of 2020, the landscape of the project changed drastically when a rain/flood event led to the failure of two of the dams. When this happened our public relations pros were available 24/7, managing media inquiries, taking interviews and helping the organization navigate the disaster. Since then, we have continued to provide a full spectrum of communications and public relations services.
Property Owner Communication
Our staff is adept at talking to property owners about legal lake levels, Part 307 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, and lake level special assessments. We help educate nearly 8,000 property owners through the many deliverables listed below.

Reports & Marketing Materials
We collaborate with the entire project team, including engineers, lawyers, volunteers and the board, to publish reports such as a 50-page restoration report (pictured), mailed brochures, flyers, construction newsletters and more.
Website Management
The Four Lakes Task Force dam restoration project has constant updates with a lot of moving pieces. The website is updated regularly with documents, blog posts, meeting information, updates and photos.
